After a brief introduction to glass at the Gerrit Rietveld fine arts Academy in Amsterdam Christiaan has worked his way up from glassblowing apprentice in the Netherlands to his BA in Glass at Bournemouth University in 2013. Whilst in college he worked in different glassblowing studio’s from the Netherlands to Czech republic and throughout the UK to learn his skills in glassmaking.
Over nearly two decades in glass, Christiaan’s creative glassworks, ranging from contemporary colourful blown vases with mesmerising optical qualities to pop culture referencing sculptural works, have been exhibited and collected throughout Europe.
